Playing catch up on the blog...

At the beginning of the meeting we discussed the Jesse Tree ornament project that is upcoming!  We had a chance to look through the devotional book pages and some homemade ornaments to get ideas.  We will be creating our own sets of Jesse Tree ornaments and exchanging them on November 12th!!

On October 8th we had the privilege of listening to Judy Nikkel share about a book that she has walked through in Bible Study. 

"The Good and Beautiful God" - The God Jesus Knows
 by Dr. James Bryan Smith

She shared how the books had impacted her life and her walk with Christ.  She has led a group of women through a study using this book and is excited to start the next two in the series.  We all have a narrative in our lives, and many times these are false narratives.  Only Jesus has the most perfect narrative.  This book shares about knowing God as a Father, as Jesus would know Him.  We must go to the Bible to really know Him. 

The part that stuck with me the most was that if Jesus trusted God, even into his time of suffering, so should we trust Him!  It is not my sin that moves me away from God, it is my refusal of Grace.

Lets fall deeply in love with God the Father!
