Card Creations April 10

This week we had the opportunity to make three FREE greeting cards with help from the lovely ladies of the Card Creations team at First MB church.

We started our morning with some announcements from Tiffany. If you missed Carelink, First MB is putting together a shopping day filled with shopping, yummy food and lots of girl time. It will be next Saturday, April 21st. The ladies will be meeting at First MB church around 7:30am and then leaving at 8am. There will be breakfast at the Breadbasket and shopping in Newton, shopping and lunch in Buhler and then shopping at the Smith's Market in Hutchinson. If you would like to join the fun, contact Deidra Cramer to register. The final day to register is Sunday, April 15.

Angie gave a devotional about “Getting through one of those days,” by Tracy Miles from Proverbs 31 ministries. She mentioned that there are going to be “those days” (or moments) when we feel like throwing in the towel and giving up. Days when we feel frustrated and emotionally exhausted as we face the never-ending challenge to raise children to honor God’s ways, in a society that does not respect His truths at all. But in all of this, God gives us hope in His word in Romans 5:3-4 that says, “Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.” We will have harder days than others, but God’s word will get us through them.

After the devotional, we headed to the card creations tables and started making our cards.

This morning gave us a chance to chat more than usual and it was a nice time to get to know some of the women better in the group and get three FREE beautifully hand-made cards. If you missed Carelink, the Card Creations group meets twice a month once on Monday evening and once on Tuesday evening, both at 7pm.

We hope to see you on Tuesday, April 24th for a topic on Spiritual Discipline. I trust there will be some great discussion. See you there!
