We are officially underway! Evening Carelink started the inaugural meeting with a group of 26 fabulous ladies! We gathered to share delicious snacks: bruschetta, spinach and artichoke dip, cheese and crackers, fruit, caramel popcorn and even a cake!
After opening with prayer, Lisa shared how this new group came to be a reality. Introductions of the team of Tiffany, Tanya and Susan just touched on all the hard work that has happened behind the scenes and before this first meeting.
Our monthly meetings this year will highlight a variety of speakers and social outings will take place nearly every month.
The Fireside Room was quite a buzz with the continual roar of chatter during our “Speed Friendship” game. The ladies split into 2 groups and had 1 minute each to fill her partner in on as many details of her life as possible before switching partners and then rotating chairs. We concluded the evening with portraits to be used for the pictorial directory.
Our next official meeting isn’t until October 25, and two social outings will take place in-between. Our first social outing will be for coffee and dessert on Tuesday, September 27 at Mead’s Corner in downtown Wichita. Anyone is we
