Planning has begun!

The Carelink leadership team met for the first time last week to begin planning for the year. We have a group of women who have experienced friendship and help through their attendance over the years and are excited to be giving back to the ministry by serving this year.

We have two open positions, yet: Kitchen coordinator and Small Group Leader. Please call me if you have any interest in learning more about these positions.

I wanted to highlight a couple things from the meeting. First, we identified a mission statement for the year. I think sometimes once a mom's children reach full-time school, they feel they have to step out of Carelink. We want to debunk that myth and encourage moms who are raising school-aged children to stay involved in Mom's Carelink and benefit from the program, friendships and encouragement that is found in the group.

"Mom's Carelink is a ministry of First MB Church that provides encouragement, friendship and wisdom from a Biblical perspective to equip women for their role as mothers of children from birth through the school years."

Calendar dates are posted along the right-hand column. Mark them on your day planner!

Registration packets will be mailed in August to ladies in the First MB Church database. Email me if you'd like to make sure you're on the list or if you have friends, neighbors & family that don't attend First MB who you'd like to get on the list.
